This is my favorite way to travel! At least back home ... My photo equipment isn't too big and heavy  and usually fits into one of those bike bags, together with other electronics and bicycle repair tools. Some spare clothes and necessities go into a second bike bag. 

In Tokyo I love to be out and about on foot and by bus and trains. Mostly on foot. The nights in Tokyo are especially colorful, also Autumn with all the beautifully colored leaves and Winter nights with various  light installations. 

Photography became really interesting for me since the appearance of better digital cameras. The do-it-yourself aspect of "developing" photos and being able to look at pictures during travel that same evening prompted me to acquire deeper knowledge of techniques and technical know-how.
